What is recorded, and what never is.
Not a policy position — a list you can check against the code. Two files do all of it. One counts visits, so GB can see which parts people read about. The other sends what you type in the contact form straight to GB. Both write to GB’s own database in Montréal, not to an analytics company, and neither sets a cookie. What follows is the whole of it, including the parts your browser does anyway.

What happens when you read this site
G.B Réseau Distribution Inc., operating as GB Tooling, is responsible for this website.
No cookies, no account, no third-party trackerThese pages are static files. The site sets no cookies, has no login, and loads no advertising tag and no third-party analytics service. The one thing it keeps in your browser is a random string in session storage that labels the tab — not you — and it is gone when you close it.
Visits are counted, in GB’s own databaseEvery page records that it was opened, how far down it you scrolled, which links and buttons you clicked, where you arrived from, and any campaign tag in the address. Each row carries that tab’s random string and nothing else — no name, no email, no IP address, no device fingerprint, no cookie. It goes to GB’s own database in Montréal rather than to an analytics company, because the point of it is to see which parts people read about. This page is counted like any other.
The contact form reaches GB when you press the button“Book a call” and “Send an email” do two things at once. They send what you typed — business name, phone or email, the machine and component, your message, and the date and hour you asked for — to GB’s enquiry list, and they open a pre-filled message in your own email program. The first happens whether or not you send the second. If you close that email without sending it, GB has the enquiry anyway.
What your browser contactsLoading a page reaches one host besides this one. GB’s database (avsuzykyuxpjfnlbdcup.supabase.co) receives the visit record above; like any web request it arrives carrying your IP address, which is not written into the record. Everything else — the stylesheet, the script, the images and both typefaces — is served from this site itself, so no third party sees that you loaded a page. The web host keeps ordinary server access logs, as every web server does. parts.gbtooling.com and facebook.com are reached only if you click through to them, and are separate services under their own terms.
Personal information GB actually holdsWhat you put in the contact form, the contents of an email you chose to write, or what you say on a call. The visit records carry no contact details and the enquiry list carries no session string, so a visit and a person are not joined together. GB does not buy contact lists for this site, does not profile visitors and does not sell anything to anyone.
Who can read itBoth tables are locked so that this website can only add rows and never read them back — the key that ships inside the page buys the ability to write, and nothing else. Only signed-in GB staff can read what arrives. An enquiry becomes a record in GB’s own system and is worked like any other piece of business correspondence.
Your rights under Law 25Québec law gives you the right to know what personal information an organisation holds about you, to have it corrected, and to have it deleted. To exercise any of those, write to the address below, say which one you want, and use the email address or phone number you gave GB so the record can be found. GB has thirty days to answer.
